Born in Waterford Connecticut, Pat now resides in Camden, North Carolina, where she frequently utilizes the surrounding area as subjects for her paintings.

Her educational background included many art classes while pursuing a Diploma in Nursing fir Kings Daughters Hospital, School of Nursing, Portsmouth, Virginia as well as B.S. and M.S. degrees from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia. Since that time she has studied with J. Robert Burnell, Chou Mein Liu, Barclay Sheaks, Petie Brigham, and Diane Maxey. She also continues to attend workshops and classes in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina
